A grade is a result. Not a verdict.
The GCSE Resit Programme at A-Team Academy combines expert tuition, six-weekly mock exams, predicted papers, and JCQ-approved exam entry to help students improve their GCSE grades with confidence. From first lesson to results day, in one place.
We have sat with hundreds of families in exactly this week. Here is what we tell every one of them: GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 are the gate to almost everything after school, and both can be resat this November. The school did its best with thirty students in the room. A resit year works when it is nothing like last year.
Same notes, same habits, same approach alone at home leads to the same result. What changes the outcome is specialist teaching, a real timetable, and a benchmark you cannot hide from. That is the whole design of this programme.

Finding somewhere to actually sit a resit is one of the most stressful parts of the process, because your child has usually left the school where they first sat it. We are a JCQ-approved exam centre, so the resit happens in a building they already know, invigilated by people they have met, with the entry handled by us. November runs for Maths and English Language; every subject runs in the summer series.
Adults resit with us constantly, for nursing, teaching and apprenticeships. The same programme and the same centre apply, and our covers entry-only options.resits page
Constantly. A large share of our resit candidates are adults heading for nursing, teaching or an apprenticeship. The same teaching, predicted papers and JCQ-approved entry apply, with schedules tailored around work.
November 2026 entries close on 1 October 2026, and summer 2027 entries close on 1 February 2027. Book the free assessment and we confirm the exact dates for your child’s board and track the deadlines for you.
Yes. We are a JCQ-approved exam centre, so students prepare with us and sit the real paper with us as private candidates. Entry fees are published in full on the fees page: £250 a subject at Birmingham, with London, Manchester and Liverpool tables alongside.
The full five-subject resit year is £600 a month. The Maths and English focus is £160 a month. Both include resources, six-weekly mocks and weekly reports, run monthly, and can be tailored at the assessment.
This is exactly who the programme is built for. The assessment shows them the gaps are specific and fixable, and the six-weekly mocks give them evidence of progress. Confidence follows evidence.
