A RESIT YEAR ONLY WORKS IF IT IS DIFFERENT FROM LAST YEAR
The envelope did not say what it was supposed to say, and the offer slipped away. That grade is a result, not a verdict: universities accept resit grades, and thousands reapply through UCAS with better numbers every year. But the same notes and the same habits, alone at home, produce the same outcome. Structure is the difference, so the year is mapped from day one.

It is the first practical wall every resit student hits: the old school has moved on, and private candidates need an approved centre. We are a JCQ-approved exam centre across Birmingham, London, Manchester and Liverpool, so you prepare all year and sit the real papers in the same building, with the entry deadlines tracked by the people teaching you. A-levels are linear, so all papers in a subject are resat in one series; coursework marks can often be carried forward, and we confirm exactly what applies for your board at the assessment.

Can I resit my A-levels?
If these grades are deciding the next forty years, one structured year is a small price. It is real work, around twelve teaching hours a week plus revision, and that structure is exactly why it produces a different result from repeating last year’s approach and hoping.
Do universities accept A-level resit grades?
The vast majority do, and thousands of students reapply through UCAS with improved results every year. A small number of the most competitive courses treat resits differently, so we give you honest, course-specific advice at the assessment before you commit to anything.
Do I resit the whole A-level or just one paper?
A-levels are linear, so improving a grade means resitting all the exam papers in that subject in the same series. Coursework and NEA marks can often be carried forward rather than redone, and we confirm the exact rules for your board at the assessment.
When are the resit exams, and when do entries close?
A-level resits sit in the May and June series, and entries for summer 2027 close on 1 February 2027. Some international specifications offer additional sittings, which we confirm per board.
How much does it cost?
The full programme is £600 a month for twelve hours of teaching a week, including predicted papers, six-weekly mocks, resources and weekly reports. The Weekend Edition is £420 a month for six weekend hours. A single subject runs at £200 a month, essay subjects at £240, and exam entry is published in full on the fees page.
Is a resit year actually worth it?
