Deadlines are the thing to watch
Exam boards close entries months before exam day, and late entries carry heavy surcharges. Entries for the November 2026 series close on 1 October 2026, and entries for the May/June 2027 series close on 1 February 2027. The earlier you register, the more you save and the less you worry.
Ask about our UCAS reference service when you book. It's the piece most private candidates are missing.

Do I need to be enrolled at a school?
No, and that's the whole point. Private candidates register directly through an approved centre like ours. You study your way and we handle everything official.
How much does it cost?
GCSE entry starts from £250 a subject at our Birmingham HQ, and A-level entry from £350 for AS or £400 for the full A-level. GCSE Maths, English Language and the single sciences are £250 at Birmingham; English Literature, History, Geography and most other GCSEs are £300; GCSE French and Spanish are £450. Which ID do I need?
A valid passport or driving licence, verified before entry, in line with JCQ rules.
Can I get extra time?
Yes, with the right supporting evidence such as an EHCP, SENCo report or JCQ Form 8. We apply for approval before confirming.
What about subjects with coursework?
Some have non-exam assessment. Get in touch and we'll point you to the best specification for private entry, often an IGCSE.
