TOEFL iBT preparation, screen first
TOEFL iBT is a fully computer-based English test: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing in a single sitting of about two hours, scored out of 120. A-Team Academy prepares candidates for it at 2341 Coventry Road, Sheldon, Birmingham and live online, one-to-one at £40 an hour, and we practise on screen because that is where you will sit it. We are not a TOEFL test centre: the official test runs at ETS-authorised centres, and our job ends with you walking into one prepared.

Paper habits fail on TOEFL. Reading passages sit in a scrolling pane, essays are typed against the clock so typing speed quietly becomes a score factor, and the speaking section is you, a microphone and a countdown, with no examiner to nod along. Every one of those habits can be rebuilt in a few weeks, but only by practising the way the test actually works.

Can I sit the official TOEFL test with you?
No, we are not an ETS test centre. TOEFL iBT is taken at ETS-authorised test centres, or through the Home Edition sat at home under remote supervision, and booking runs through ETS directly. We prepare you, help you pick a sitting, and make sure the format holds no surprises on the day.
What TOEFL score do UK universities accept?
Most UK universities accept TOEFL iBT for degree-level study, with typical asks landing between 80 and 100 overall and minimum section scores attached, though every course sets its own bar. Bring your offer letter to the first session and we aim the whole plan at those exact numbers.
Is TOEFL iBT accepted for UK visas?
TOEFL iBT is not a Home Office SELT, so it cannot be used where a visa route demands one; those routes need IELTS for UKVI, PTE Academic UKVI or a Trinity SELT at the provider’s approved centre. For degree-level student visas most universities assess English themselves and many happily accept TOEFL, so check with your university first, and see our English tests hub for the SELT picture.
