GESE and UK visas: what you need to know
Can I take my visa English test at A-Team?
No, and anyone telling you otherwise is misleading you. UK visa applications need a Secure English Language Test taken at one of Trinity's own approved SELT centres. A GESE certificate from a registered centre like ours is excellent for study and work, but it is not valid for a visa.
So how can A-Team help with my visa English test?
We prepare you to pass. Our SELT preparation uses the exact GESE Grade 2 and Grade 5 format, with mock speaking tests and feedback, so you walk into your official test ready.
What actually happens in a GESE exam?
A friendly one-to-one conversation with a Trinity examiner, five to twenty-five minutes depending on grade. Most people say it feels more like a chat than a test.
Which grade should I book?
Tell us a little about your English when you register interest and we'll recommend a grade. Trinity's twelve grades run from complete beginner to advanced, so there is a comfortable starting point for everyone.
GESE is a brilliant qualification, but it is not a visa SELT. If you need a test for a UK visa, we prepare you for the official SELT at a Trinity centre. We would rather tell you that plainly than take a booking that does not help you.
